Chloe Mills

Outreach Coordinator

Chloe was born and raised in Houston, Texas. From a young age, she had a love for rocks, animals, and the lofty pine trees of southeast Texas. Chloe’s passion for environmental conservation was inspired by two things: Ranger Rick magazine and rapid deforestation in the Houston area.

She earned a B.S. and M.S. in geology from Brigham Young University, specializing in igneous petrology and volcanic eruptions.

Since graduating, Chloe has worked in education and outreach. She has taught geology and natural disaster classes at McClennan Community College, Blinn College, and Brigham Young University-Idaho. She also worked for an e-learning company and was a tour guide at the Waco Mammoth National Monument.

Chloe lives with her husband and two children on a ranch in rural Texas.
